Cleaning up corrupt install

I'm having problems installing a game on my Win 2000 machine that I think are the result of a corrupted install the first time I tried. How can I remove all traces of the game (it can't uninstall as it did not finish) from C: and the Registry in order to try a fresh installation?

Try going to the Program Files folder and deleting all files associated with the application
Then go to the registry to HKLM\Software and delete the entries for your application there.

This might do it.
