Ive only ever played the original on the PS2, thought it was fairly good, since then ive been converted to PC-gaming and ill probably pick this up, maybe not tomorrow though, after playing the far-cry demo i think ill be spending my money on that. ill wait for abit of feed back from here and a few other websites..........

Both PC and XBOX versions are out tomorrow (9am). I already have my copy pre-ordered in Game (Blanchardstown).
The singe player will not be that much different from the original, however, the thing that sets this game apart from the others is the new Multiplayer feature.

    Link to website here

Also, the singleplayer demo is available for download now. 120MB download so for broadband people only I would say.
The multiplayer demo is out this evening at 5pm (GMT) from the ubi.com website and from the usual demo download websites like fileplanet.

I loved the original so definitely gonna pick up a copy tomorrow. I can't decide whether to get it for the Xbox or PC.

I can play both systems online and in terms of graphics power my PC is far superior.

Also, I'm just new to the Xbox and haven't got used to the controls (esp for FPS games)

Anyone think of any deciding factors?

Edge gave it 8, which is pretty good. They said the single player is much the same and the multiplayer is quite different, but good

    Single player demo:

    Multiplayer demo out now :

    http://www.gamershell.com/download_5435.shtml

The single player is nice, very similar to the first game but sam's character movements are much more fluid/realistic, other than that cant see much of a gfx improvement tbh.gonna give the multi a bash now.

    Yup.

The Xbox and GBA versions are out now, the PC version out next week, and the PS2 and Gamecube versions out sometime in June (tentative).

got the pc multiplayer demo a few hours ago.

and now its 4am and im still up.

playin all night, same level with another few random ppl.

very fun game. sneakin around as the spy, its genuinely tense and quite spooky.

specially when ur the mercenary and ur motion detector vision detects a little whisper of motion.

seems very tough for the spy, the mercenary can just shoot the place up, bein the spy requires much more knowledge of the game.

    recommend it.

Mouse. ultimate decider in a game where every shot counts.

Allright ... played about halfway through the first mission on the Xbox. More of the same from the first game; very sneaky, stealthy, etc. No kills allowed on the first mission heh. Graphics are decent, although it seems slightly jumpy at times. Storyline is pretty good. Not sure how it compares to the PC version, but since it's not a twitch game (like Counter-Strike), the lack of precision from a mouse doesn't really make much difference.
