Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it possible to setup something like Squid so that you have two sets of users.

    first set can surf normally.

second set can only surf the local cache - ie. the proxy will NOT try to retrieve info from the internet on thier behalf.

It's for internet sharing - the idea being that the second class users don't use up extra bandwidth or affect your CAP. (also so the ISP can't claim you are offering a service) - could also be used in schools etc.
