    I was quite enjoying blasting 'Hush' by Deep Purple as I rolled into a clearing in a tank and proceeded to let rip at the unsuspecting NVA....

    How come no Hendrix though? Surely 'Voodoo Chile' would be the ultimate tune?

    i have yet to buy the game but ill be slapping "the wurzels - combine harvestor" in the playlist nothing like some hick music to make you want to kill.

    Now I come to think of it there's no 'The End' by the Doors, another obvious choice surely?

    Seems like most of the tunes (Bobby Fuller 4, The Count 5 etc) are the ones you find on those crappy 'Eternal Summer Surf Party' type tapes you used to get in filling stations, so I guess they must be out of copyright or something?

    Yeah a bit of Jimi is the first thing I looked for when I ran the game the first, very disappointing :(

    I would imagine it's cos the Hendrix estate didn't want to licence the use of his music to EA. Rightly so :P

    Yeah I assumed it was a licensing issue. I can still listen to it via MP3, but its not the same when you know Charlie can't hear it!....

    I figure with new patch releases they will add more music tracks. B52 stratofortress bomber I already hear is on the way. My pcgamer refers to them in the review but i havent seen them.

    Question: If everyone on a server has the same MP3s loaded into their personal file, then is the music broadcast or is it still only you that gets to hear it? If its the former we could put together a Vietnavan playlist...

    How about "Why do birds suddenly appear" by The Carpenters..... can't wait to try it out when I'm in a huey tonight... :):)

    I'm keen on setting up a vietnavan songlist too. if only I can FIND THE SERVER.
    A problem I'm having with the ut2k4 server too.

    What am I doing wrong anyway? I type Viet-Navan into the server filter and it never appears???

    Download the All Seeing Eye (google it) and Vietnavan should appear top of the list of servers.

    This is what I assumes. But when I had mu custom playlist playing online, anyone else who played a song, it played the vietnam song, and not the corresponding song in my playlist.

    Hendrix was opposed to the war in vietnam, like most people of his generation. Hence the little snag over licensing the music. It's a great game, but I can't help feeling that its a little too soon after the shameful vietnam war to be making light of it.
