Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think that I have found the shortest KM in Ireland.
Its on the N9 at the N10 junction outside of Thomastown. There is a sign that says Ballyhale 8km. Its really only about 0.5 Km

That must make it the hortest Km in Ireland.

any other examples of crazy signs?

There used to be negative distance on the road out of Dundalk, heading northwards you pass a sign that tells you 79 to Belfast a little further on there was a big green one with 80 to go.

Navan is a crazy hole for signs.

    1. I invite anyone to try getting across the town, using signposts alone, from Drogheda/Slane to Athboy/Delvin on the N51. Piss easy going the other way.... but going from east to west is nigh on impossible if you dont know the town.

    2. Sign for N3 just at the north end of the ring road (outside BBC Nissan/Fiat) has a sign in brackets (Delvin whatver km) but you've just passed the left turn that you should take.

There used to be a series of misplaced signs between Strabane and Letterkenny, but I think they've had the good sense to fix 'em.

on a similar note there used to be (still is?) a speed limit increase from 30 to 40mph along collins ave in dublin outside DCU. jowever, all along the stretch they had painted 'slow down' on the road
