Nokia N gage headset not working

    My head set is not working when I plug it in all i get is connect headset or activate loudspeacker, even when i try to use the handsfree it does not work I get a cable icon on the screen whenI plug it in but but no sound done that reset the phone and still the same way.I have mmc in it and was working fine yesterday.I plug in another set of headphones and all i get is connect head set?What could be wrong?

    dont have a clue mat, i have the n gage and never had a problem like that. sorry i cant help:)
