National article on Eircom's Band13 Porn Diallers!

a friend of mine who works for a national newspaper is looking to do a piece on the use of porn diallers and Eircom's Band13

I need to get hard facts from people on these...

1. The revenue Eircom earn from Band13 countires. I have heard figures of (i think) 1.5million a week. Does anyone have a source for this?

2. I have heard that Eircom have a special team to deal with the victoms of Porn Diallers...is there any proof of this??

Also if anyone can provide links to rulings on the use of Porn Diallers in other countries. I know that the FCC in America have issued advice to customers and that the German government has made it illegal to charge for these diallers unless pervious consent is given, Any links to these. Also details of rates other countrys charge to band 13...

ALSO, any other information that can be used to give weight to this story...Muck...

I'm pretty sure they do have some kind of team that looks into this stuff.
I had a woman call me in tech support in eircom net, saying that she'd been contacted by someone in eircom who told her that she'd made a rather expensive call to one those numbers.
Don't really know anything else about it.

I have linked the German ruling and other material , tell your friend to lash away at them. Also notice my comparison between Vartec rates (that was because Vartec was easy to link and are not a pack of thieving scum) but it could be any other carrier such as Alpha telecom or Ryanair telecom. In fact the more comparisons the merrier.

Get your friend to check with Mabs and the ODCA to track down the victims and get their stories.
