It was announced in this forum 7 Weeks Ago by my reckoning They may have signed the actual contract today or something like that.

Note that BT will be rolling out stacks of natty Wireless BB installs where the copper network will not sustain DSL (either economically or technically) . Anybody near the border will be able to benefit directly from this scheme unless you have fallen out with your Norn cousins. All you need to do is get a neighbour in NI to 'bend' a pipe across in your direction , check out Irishwan to see how its done.
