Has anyone any tips on where I can get a cheap 64MB, 128MB or 256MB memory stick.

Go for the USB2.0 version - they are only a couple of quid more expensive and you get about 8 times the transfer speed compared with USB1.1. 256Mb USB2.0 GoBeyond from shop4memory.com is only EUR 72.00.
