    Nice.

Id love to buy a vidio fone but it would be popintless cause the phone lines havent been upgraded to carry a vidio signal.

In many ways modern technology is miles better that the tech in TOS, (transporters and warp engines aside, there were no holodecks or replicators in TOS)

You take the latest phone, still pics and motion pic, sound, text, file transfer and still very compact, no bigger that kirks communicator.

You can fingd thr location of your nearest pub/fast food outlet/friend etc in meters for the price of txt message, and lads in TOS didnt usually even carry tri corders

As for weapons, a H-bomb might not do as much damage as a photon torpedo but it takse the same number of them to destroy a planet.

Microwaves and frozen food, beats the enterprise canteen hands down.

The internet, id be quietly confident it can best the federation archives.

MY computer would kick the enterprises butt for speed and hard drive space.

Arent there virtual reality head set yolks nowadays, your personal hollowdeck.

Ive seen ppl with far better make up and piercings on the street than were in TOS.

Actually in TOS, they had Tricorders. Only problem is, they were huge compared to nowadays...

The communicators had much better range than mobile phones without the need for those huge masts everywhere.

We'd need to design a device that can transmit a satellite signal using **** all power I'd imagine.

Or better still, have atoms in the client and server linked using quantum entanglement :)
