    hi win media player wont luanch

    keeps coming up with strange erroors like a kernel 32 etc

    what can i do????

    Upgrade to the latest version, if you havent already. Take a look at theMicrosoft Windows Media download page for the most recent version.

    then it just closes

    if i download the latest will this replace the old one
    BTW im not connected to the net so how will i go about it!

    Yes, by downloading the newest version it will just install itself over the old version. Or alternativly you can try out a differant kind of media player such as Winamp or Apple's iTunes.
    BTW im not connected to the net so how will i go about it!
    How are you able to post so? Im sure if you ask about on the File Exchange forum someone will put them on CD for you.

    What OS?
    What is the exact error - "error kernel 32" isn't the error, provide the complete text and it might indicate what's going on.
    What version of Media Player are you using?

    If you're willing to forget about WMP, try Media Player Classic, which will handle WMP7,8,9 files and more with the (seperate) K-Lite codec Pack.
