    Yes, character is male.

    I'll take recent to mean last 12 months, which means no, character was not in a recent game.

    No, he is not in half life, or any of it's mods (that I am aware of).
    I'll ignore the gordan freeman question and not count it towards the total.
    He does appear in an fps game.
