Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Milan make first signing for next season!

Milan have signed a pre-contract agreement with Roma right back (getting to be a habbit, eh?) Jonathan Zebina.

    From Soccerage.
Jonathan Zebina is AC Milan's first signing for next year. The player's contract with Roma ends this year and he has agreed with the rossoneri to move to Milan.

The 26 year old has signed a four year deal that is worth 6 million euro. Juventus tried to snatch the player at the last minute but Galliani has been in contact with the defender for a long time.

And Barce have said today that they have a Verbal agreement with David Trezeguet, but Juve insist he is staying.

    also from SAEU.

Spanish daily Marca are reporting that David Trezeguet has verbally agreed to join Barcelona.

He would sign a three-year contract, with the option of another one or two years on top of that.

Persuading Juventus to sell may be a different prospect altogether. Juve transfer guru Luciano Moggi said this week that he could guarantee the Frenchman would not be leaving.

In other news, PSV have made Van Der Sar thier transfer target fr the summer and Juve have almost completed a deal with Auxere for Philippe Mexes.

Good signing, can only increase the depth and strenght of the squad.

Juve however, would be mad to let Trezeguet go. He's their only really potent threat up front (I don't rate Di Vaio all that highly). And who could they sign to replace him? I can't see any of the other big-name strikers moving during the close season... especially not to Juve :)

Apparently Zlatan Ibrahimovic is going to Juve in the summer, and they are also said to be interested in Coraddi, who will most likely leave Lazio this summer, because well, they are broke.

And if Juve sign Mexes then they have the depth in defence that they really lacked this year, i think next year they will challenge milan again.
Would get boring otherwise, we don't wan't another predictable league in europe, there is already two of them.

That hasn't been confirmed has it?! Last I heard it was a toss-up between Milan and Juve as to who'd get him. I'd hate to see him at Juve, he's gonna do well wherever he goes. Don't rate Corradi all that highly either tbh, certainly not at Juve's standard anyway.

And Mexes? Mehhh... playing in an average French league, can't really judge him properly. Then again I don't think I've seen him play more than once.

Hope hes coming to manu, could be another ronaldinho!! As for Zlathan, Id go for Juve, would get more games there id reckon as Milans attack is fairly solid.

Juve have been trying to sell Trezeguet outside of Italy for the past few weeks. The asking price was €18-20M. Barcelona are looking at him as a replacement for Kluivert, their valuation is €15M or €8M plus a player in exchange. Juve have now jacked up the price because they see it as Barcelona paying a fee for Davids.

Chelsea turned down Trezeguet because they're lining up another striker, Mr.Kenyon is currently taking calls from Mrs.Kluivert. Kluivert ignored the club's advances earlier in the year because he was seeking assurances about team football which Arsenal were offering. Arsenal subsequently signed Reyes and Kluivert is unsure of his position. He has signed an agreement with Arsenal stating that he won't negotiate with another English club, but Mrs.Kluivert is his agent and one would think that if she's going to be happy with a deal offered by Chelsea then so will he.

I dont think its ManU's attack thats a huge problem in Europe. They're always going to be in with a chance, along with half a dozen other clubs, but to really improve their chances, its the defence that needs gelling. Zebina would've been a better move for them.

anyway, not to turn this into another Utd thread.....

There could be a few more Roma players on the sniff for new opportunities if Capello moves on.
