    they may have made grunge more accessable, they may not have, its an debate with no answer. IMO Pearl Jam brought grunge to the fore too, as did Soundgarden (maybe not AS much). they do have some great songs (nirvana) but I just cant really listen to too much of them without getting bored... it makes me wonder what would have happened had he lived and continued to record, would they still sound the same today?? would they have progressed?? again, no answers to it.
    and cobains image as a tortured soul etc. is abit much. sure he had plenty of problems, but i just cant hack the godlike status he is given. Good band, but by no means changed my life... maybe you had to be there....
