Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Maybe not happening after all. The only date she can fit in is Sunday the 29th and local residents won't allow concerts on a sunday following Bob Dylan in 1984.
Residents say they will go to court to stop this taking place.

So there is still a chance on Radiohead then on the 28th. Come on MCD...sort it out.
Madonna is not what one would expect of a typical Slane artist. Surely she could play in Dublin or Cork, even Belfast for god sake.

    Radiohead for Slane!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Madonna to make Irish debut at Slane
Pop diva Madonna is to play Slane this summer on Sunday 29 August as part of her re-Invention world tour.

She will be the first artist to play on a Sunday since Bob Dylan in 1984.

Henry Mount Charles, the owner of Slane Castle, told RTÉ 2fm that the American megastar would play on Sunday because of date restrictions; she also is playing a series of dates in England.

This will be Madonna's first ever show in Ireland.

the local council are seeking an injunction against the concert taking place on a saunday as we speak, heres hoping they can do that better than they can maintain roads!

Eh, even if they FAILED with their injunction, they'd still have done a better job of it than the job they do maintaining the roads around here...

(I live fairly close to Slane)
