I agree Dev, them red €5 ones are nice, and the black €100. Ooof. yum. I'd say they are 8gm clay ones. Again, all 11.5gm are clay injected chips. So I've heard. I wonder where the fitz got them.

Got my chips today from this guy - http://cgi6.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=eswnarts&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50

I order 300 suited and it worked out about €100 including delivery. I agree with Dev that they can be a bit too slidey but they're not bad and it's nice to finally get some for the home games and next month in Atlantic City I might invest in something else.

Also I got done for import tax - €7.40 to be exact. As ever the playing cards and dice are worthless.

the reason they inject the clay chips is becuase clay is not a durable enough substance in and of itself - it has to be a composite with some other stronger material to make the chips stand up to the wear and tear that they inevitably get from people chucking them on tables and the like. Generally those casino chips are made from different substances for the same reason. Personally, I really like the 11.5g ones - it's that satisfying clunk you get when you throw 'em in, and the weight of them when you're raking a massive pot. Unfortunately the latter doesn't happen enough.

what a song! yeah I like the weight of the 11.5gm chips. Especially in the 100chip containers, it shocks every new person who lifts them up.

Check this place out. I think it is hard to beat. They have what look like the tournie chips from the Fitz.

Got mine of an Ebay vendor, Spinettis, for $80. 350 11.5g "dice" chips with case and two decks of ex-casino cards. You can ring them and specify any coulour in any amounts, only took around 6 days to come (then customs held them up and had to pay €30 on top of the €25 p&p I had already paid:mad: , factor this in when budgeting)

There is nothing worse than getting stung by customs after searching for the best possible deal to be found.

Tip: Ask them to mark the package as "Gift". Some companies will do it and some wont, if a company is caught doing it there will be consequences but some take the risk for more business.
