Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

wireless network freezing

i recently purchased this and this

all was well and good, until the network began 'freezing' which became more and more frequent recently.

attempting to shut down the network utility always results in my whole laptop freezing, and refusing to shut down/restart for aaages, which is very frustrating and leaves me with my desktop picture and nothing else. not even the off button works.

tbh the whole wireless network thing is completely new to me, so i haven't a clue what could be causing it.

    any ideas?

Check the SMC website for software / firmware updates. If they have a forum / knowledgebase check if anyone has had similar issues. Failing that, contact their tech support. Sounds like dodgy software.

One other possibility is radio interference.
Can you see the numbers of errors in transmission
    on your link?

I've had problems with interference from DECT wireless phones.
If you have one of those, it's worth turning it off for a few minutes and see if it makes a difference.
Locking your equipment to a low channel number
may make this interference less of a problem,
but it could just be coincidence.
