Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Gerrard backs Houllier
    Story by Al Campbell
    11 April 2004

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has once again come out in support of his under fire manager.

Gerrard, who ran straight over to his manager after scoring against Levski Sofia, has again praised the man who gave him his Liverpool debut and handed him the captain's armband.

"If Gerrard Houllier left the club, I would have to consider my own future. I belive he is the man for the job. I love playing for him" said Gerrard.

Nooooooo! This story has only popped up in a couple of places so maybe its rubbish.

    Mike.

Houllier has already been assured his job is safe, if you believe the rumours. He's also provided his shortlist to Parry, but will probably have to sell in order to buy.

Regarding Gerrard, I think it's a postive sign. If more players were as commited as he is to the club and the manager, we would not be in the position we are in.

I'd imagine Houillier is staying alright, simply because the deal for Cisse is meant to be signed and sealed. I can't stand the guy tbh and if I was a Liverpool fan I'd be pretty pissed off :/

I wouldnt say GH will definately stay, like you said the cisse deal appears to be signed and sealed but In my opinion if it was ACTUALLY done they would officially announce it a la Robben to Chelsea. Because GH's future is insecure the deal has not been formalised.
