New theme for boards

Any chance a competition could be run for designing a new boards theme (cloud, simpsons etc) in which the winner would get theirs uploaded as a new theme that anyone could choose? I want sionnach to do a boards skin :) -Drake

would you not need to have access to vbb to design it, or would the user just make up some drawings and the admins adapt it??

Since I have an inkling of what you're planning (not that I object to it) I think we shall have to think about it ...

However I would certainly encourage people to do boards themes and try to accommodate them where possible.

I think the person would just have to make each individual image, profile, user cp etc.. and change the color settings..

in theory it seems easy enough

cool idea, making a proper theme looks like a lot of hard work though lots of coding and stuff to be done

I can give access to a test installation of VBulletin to anyone who wants to create or test skins. It's worth pointing out that if boards upgrades to the new version of Vbulletin which was recently released then your skin will have to be re-done.

sorry my mistake, vbulletin 3 looks a bit like that, but with the colours inverted. Some other forum software has a theme which looks like the one you posted, can't remember which though. Might be one of phpBB's myriad themes.
