    what happens if the ntl man comes around to install your broadband and finds you have a booster rooting cable tv to every room in your house :ninja:

    Don't worry, NTL don't do the installations. I think it's ICL that are sub-contracted to install the cable modems for NTL. The guy will just have a jobsheet saying that you get the point installed at or near your PC, the cable modem, and what speed package you ordered. He has no idea how many TV points you are being billed for. However the proper method for installs is to take the BB direct from the cable into the house and THEN share it between TV points as the modem is a lot more sensitive to noise than your TV tuner. Try not to let him away with just tapping off the point in one of the bedrooms if you can.

    As a matter of fact it is very rare for an NTL employee to even do a cable tv or digital install, most if not all of that work is subbed out too. NTL just insist on all subbies driving vans with the NTL logo on the side.
