We've just run our image signature checking script, so if your signature now looks like this:

    imagesig.gif

it probably means that your image was > 300 x 125 (in either dimension).

    Full rules available here: www.boards.ie/sigrules

I've also removed Drake and Funky's signatures for offensive content.

Don't be so god damn pretentious. If someone had the British flag in there sig would it be ok for me to object because of English crimes against us. If someone had the Irish flag in their sig would it be ok for me to object due to republican crimes. Its a symbol as such it is neither offensive nor evil, its just the context its used in. O and btw some of us lost family to fascists allot closer to home then the Nazi's and allot more recent then 60 odd years ago, so I'm sorry if you banging on about a mate of a mates grand father/grand mother/whatever, falls on deaf ears.

The nazi symbol is frowned upon by most of the world. British flag isnt (much as some would liek it to be).

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭Boston

Most of the world? Afair portion of the world would look upon it in a different light.
either which way context is the issue not the sysmbol.

    too big

I don't see how people could be offended by a symbol. It's neither menacing or vulgar and it's meant in jest. I would imagine the majority of people laughed when they saw it, the rest gasped and went "wow, that's really outrageous" but noone ran away from their computer and cried in the corner of their room.

I hate the British flag, and if thats it above it's bloody horrible, and gives me a migraine. Therefore, it should be banned on Health grounds ?...

The British Flag is great, much better than ours altogether. In fact, scrap that, Britain is greater than Ireland.

More or less trolling than a swastika?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭Boston

Well the swastika trolling wasn't directed at Jews but at ecksor himself. Your trolling however is aimed at Irish people in general, All of which have a right to hate that flag and everything it stands for.

The swastika was origionally a good luck charm. It was adapted by the National Socialists and tilted sideways .. any no it becames evil...

Its a good luck charm though, to the best of my historical knowledge

If I'm not mistaken or drunk why not look at the union jack and find out what flag had the navy blue background with a white cross on it.

    Any takers ?
