Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Anybody know any kit available over the counter that supports multiple SSIDs? I'd like to put in a WLAN at work, but would want to keep workie people properly authenticated - probably with a hardware token, if anybody can suggest one that isn't as absurdly expensive as securID - and hand out different details to visitors so they can check their email.

Something like the Proxim AP4000 will allow up to 16 separate networks, each with its own SSID and security settings per radio. Each can be assigned to a VLAN and isolated from the rest of your network traffic using VLAN-enabled switches.

So for example, you could have:
VLAN 1 with SSID "Public" with no authentication for web browsing (hotspot)
VLAN 3 with SSID "Staff" using WPA and Radius/SecureID
VLAN 4 with SSID "Consultants" using WEP with access to some internal resources
    all running simultaneously.
