Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Will Arsenal Claim the Title at White Hart Lane?

As things stands it looks increasingly likely that Arsenal can claim the Premiership away to their old rivals by beating Spurs next Sunday.

As things stand Chelsea can only get 84pts, Utd 83pts, while Arsenal are currently on 81.

With Newcastle charging for 4th place and holding thier own with 10 men against Villa today, and Chesleas current league form, a Chelsea win against them next sunday, before the Arsenal game, isn't all that likely.

If Chelsea fail to beet the magpies and Arsenal beat spurs then, Arsenal are the new Champions.

So what do you think? Will Arsenal add insult to injury and win the title at White Hart Lane as they did at Old Trafford before?

I'm backing a Chelsea score draw and an Arsenal rout of spurs.....

Yep, I don't see Chelsea beating Newcastle when Chelsea have nothing left to play for in the league while Newcastle have everything to play for. I don't see Spurs taking points off Arsenal either.

    Tempting fate? maybe :)

Now that would be sweeter than winning the league at Old Trafford. Hmm maybe Spurs getting relegated this season as well is way to much to hope for !!!!!

BTW I think that United could catch Chelsea to 2nd place (maybe I am going mad these days!!!)

    Gandalf.

nah id say spurs will be up for that game and i also think chelsea will be better next weekend. they are gonna want to be sure of 2nd place. is there an extra champions league place if chelsea win it? they qualify that way?

Ok I could be wrong about this but i don't think they can win it at Tottenham. I thought that was only if Chelsea lost, and they drew...

Ah my mistake then :) I'd fancy them in that case, Tottenham are in freefall at the minute! It'll be another Leeds game I reckon. In saying that I'm sure Spurs will do all they can to save some face....

So will Arsenal get the trophy at spurs if they win? Or is it presented at the next home game. Is the match going to be televised anywhere? It would be worth seeing Arsenal lift the trophy.

I would dearly love if Spurs were to become the only club to take 3 points off Arsenal this season in the Prem, but I'm a realist so it will be all one way I'm afraid. Arsenal to win by 3 goals or more...:(

    After that Spurs face:

Villa (away) - Villa to win

Blackburn (home) - Spurs must win this, because if they don't its...

Wolves (away) - (Wolves better be relegated at that stage)

Our one saving grace is our slightly less sh*t goal difference, which means even if we lose all four matches, Leeds will have to get 7 points from their remaining 4 matches to finish above us, and I don't see that happening. And City look to be in deep trouble as well, so there's another out...

Gandalf, if you're a betting man you'll get Spurs at 11-1 to go down from Paddy Power. Go on, put your money were your mouth is...:p

I wouldn't write off Spurs, as dire as they are at the moment. Local derby's are never predictable.

I actually hope Arsenal win the game. A few weeks ago I put a tenner on Portsmouth to end their unbeaten run at 60/1 :) I think this is a reasonable bet as a) Arsenal should have the title wrapped up by then and b) Portsmouth will be fighting relegation.

Plus Pompey are on a bit of a role at the min. 13 points from a possible 15 :)

Think Arsenal will clinch it then. As much as it pains me to say so. Hope united can beat chelsea and get theat 2nd spot. 3rd and 4th must qualify? So like 2nd for 4th and 3rd round for 3rd??

Some display by henry on friday.....pains me.

Haven't seen Spurs play recently then?

I'd say short of us appointing our new manager this week and announcing the signings of Zidane and Shevchenko we'll go into the match with out heads so far down the glare off Gary Doherty's bald patch will blind the entire stadium.

Oh christ, I've just had a vision of Henry running at The Ginger Pele...
