Best free ftp server for Windows 2000?

    Serv-U seems pretty good (not sure if it's totally free).

    What FTP server would you recommend for Windows 2000? Must be free and light on resources. Doesn't have to do much, just has to serve a large collection of files to one or two users and decent speed. Don't want to use the FTP server that comes with 2000 as that means getting the Windows 2000 disk off IT support (uggh) and besides I don't like configuring the thing.

    Guild FTP is a good un. Nice and simple to use.

    How about using Windows 2000!!!

    Windows 2000 has FTP server support built into it.

    Check out IIS in Help.

    He said he didn't like configuring it and he'll have to get a disk from his IT people.
    Guild FTP is pretty good IMO.

    IIS is overkill if you just want to run a simple ftp anyway. Not to mention the security baggage it brings with it.
