Looking at phpbb, Invision and VBulletin .. running Apache on Linux, servlets/jsp for my site and Oracle for my DB .. It seems like a lot of these don't support Oracle yet .. this is a big deal for us as our servlet takes the user profile info from Oracle and I need users to be logged in before they can use the boards.
