Ireland pass IP law yet ?

i heard, or read here recently that EU was passing ip law, to catch people downloading music, has that been passed yet ? friend said he saw on news there are new laws in IRELAND and fines are set to fine people downloading music. Thanks

I was under the impression that some law was passed and will be brought into Europe next year sometime. Dunno if this is the same law tho as your talking about.
