Census ??

Dunno what board this belongs on but am
sure it will be moved if necessary....

As some of you may know there is a census
coming around on August the 7th. For those
who don't know, a census is where the
government gets your details like number of
people in the house, religion, etc. If there
are enough people in the country, about
10,000, who put down the same religion, it
becomes a fully recognised and legal
religion. It is for this reason that it has
been suggested that anyone who does not have
a dominant religion put down "Jedi" as their
religion. Don't worry, you can't get into
any trouble. You're just helping to mess
with the government in a small way. So send
this on to all your friends and tell them to
put down "Jedi" as their religion and we can
have "Jedi Knights" running around. Yes,
this is a Sci-Fi thing, but it will also
**** with the government. So if not because
you love Star Wars, then just to annoy the
government.

...and annoying people is very important...

( Note: If you dont forward this to all your
friends your skin will turn green like
Yoda's - which may not be such a bad thing,
young Jedi )

hehe actually i would be on for that lol

but what chance do we have of getting 10,000 people,

unless we canvas the colleges and stuff, but most students would come under their parenst heritage,

still im on for it if you want some help, sounds like some fun lol

FYI the Irish census is supposed to be on the 29th April 2001 (this mont ) but due to the outbreak of foot and mouth it will be postponed untill 28th April 2002.

the original idea was originally thought of in Australia where they are in dire need of Jedi-Knights and I think that there is a fine for misleading information given, around $500 in Australia.

Still though, I would like to be a Jedi Knight ordering pints in my local.

i think we should try and organise a national organisation for it lol

I would have to agree with Wyverne on that, if you really want to succeed people would need to get organised about it, and I really doubt that your "Jedi" religion would be officially recognised soley based on the results of a census, it would require some kind of groundwork established, but hey if you wanna **** a few ppl off, I'll help spread the word=]

Righto then, well all we need is a Central
Jedi sorting office, will take a while to
organise but with the right kinda national
exposure, it could happen, perhaps we should
get an ad going on TG4, I'd say all three of
the peeps who watch that would get involved
