    Have you ever read Frankenstein?

I decided to read it just a few weeks ago and discovered how different it is from what I expected. It took a few pages to start liking it, but after a while I was so amazed from the contemporary of it. I can't stop thinking of all the links I can find with our time.

I think the book is very much about Colonialism and the Creature is the symbol of colonialised people... which weren.t even considered people. that is not so different from what happens nowdays, during the New-Colonialism!!

For example at certain point the Creature says that if someone killed him it wouldn't be considered a crime, but if he (the Creature) hurt someone it would have seen as a tremendous crime.
That is because the Creature isn't human and so hurting him wouldn't mean much... isn't it the same nowdays? Whatever loss among American Army in Iraq is considered such a shame, but none get impressed from the much bigger number of Iraquis! Aren't they people as well???

Aye, I read it years ago and loved it - the book is a lot more profound than any of the films.
