    Its been posted about the free release of both tribes1 and 2 at the start of May.
    So with that in mind I've started a Tribes2 server on games3.iol.ie
    Alas no tribes1, cannt do it, dont ask.

    I don't play half life any more either... its kind of old hat at this stage. (the stick i got for saying that on the HL board, being the mod and all :))
    UT2004 is my current favourite.

    /me yells Dustaz to join this thread and awaits the 'T1 > T2' rant :)

    Any good mirrors for T1+2 yet btw? last I heard they were only up on Fileplanet, and 1 hour+ que's dont really appeal to me.

    Since the rescent hosting of the "Tribes 2 Server" (games3@iol.ie)many thanks to Rev Hellfire, I would like to sugest a possible weekly gathering or something to that affect, since it has been empty whenever I had a look at it. Any suggestions please? well at least familiarise yourself with flying cause your gonna need it when "Tribes Vengence" comes out :D

    I'll be trying it again when I can download it - still have my CD here but would only have to download all the patches anyway.

    Does that .ie tribe still exist in T2? ;)

    Anyone else having trouble accessing fileplanet to get their free CDKey? I have the game, but I want another CDKey. There servers must be borked!, Just sent them a email to fileplanet to see whats happening at their end so now I wait.

    yea, but I read that the problem is gonna be fixed soon and they will be releasing more CDKeys due to the high demand for them.

    If I download the client via bittorrent, I shouldn't have a problem using my existing CDkey right? (the one that came with my CD - they won't lock it or anything thinking someone is using a keygen since it's a storebought key?)

    No it should work... or you culd just install from the CD an ddownload the patches which would be significantly less than downloading from BitTorrent etc

    Yeah, but I've had terrible trouble with the patches in the past (bugs) - a single installer sounds perfect.

    Has any of the old ie tribe logged back in? I have an email from coyote dated 2001!

    Was playing it a bit last night, brought back the memories it did. All except the controls of course ;)

    Ive been working like a mofo since the release so i havent been able to go and see if theres many people around.

    I didnt think id be downloading them, but are they single installers patched to the correct versions? If they are it might be worth it for lazyness alone.


    Someone on tribalwar said that T1 was being downloaded more than t2, is that true anyone know?

    Anyway, T1>T2. Gays :)

    Will be downloading them myself tonight (sooo lazy)- have a mirror (non fileplanet) at home, will reply again later with a link.

    And yep, T1 is being downloaded more than T2. I guess it's to do more with the filesize / cdkey issue. T2 was in the lead initially - probably because people will assume T2 > T1....
