Giblet. You should look at the videos. Its different from shaders. It looks ike the individual bricks are 3D modelled.

It's bumpmapping, and it's also using pixel shaders.

Its a mod that gives you the liberty city (gta3) in vice city with all of vice citys advancments (destroyable tires etc) just the city though none of the missions

Edit- They seem to have changed the game engine (Engine?) a bit on Liberty city mod, None of my trainers work(ed). So be carefull if ya start messin wit .img, .dff, .txd or anything for that matter.

I've installed the Liberty City mod and I can't get back to playing vice city. Every time I try playing vice city, it goes to the main screen of LC, then when it loads to start the game, it just crashes.

I can play LC by going into it's shortcut, but I still want to play Vice city!

Its a total conversion mod, so you cant revert back to VC, you can install VC again so you'll have both.

Just basically install it into a different directory.

EDIT: Tried to install VC again, then it kept on prompting me to uninstall the converted VC, before the installation began. I avoided this by hiding the converted VC in the recycle bin until the VC installation was over, then restoring it.

Slap em into ur My documents folder under either Lc user files or vice city user files. Press F3 to view them during the game.

That sucks, its a bit of a system hog alright. Tho its been optimised brilliantly since the demo, which kinda stuttered a little on my comp, the full game just sings

Nah i took it from the official site, i kept taking screenshots then forgetting to save them! But tbh the game looks that good running anyway so it might as well be from my comp. Highly, highly recommend this game, its so much fun to just switch off your brain and blow stuff up

And i agree about the star trek pics..:rolleyes:

i have pain killer, does it get better after first level or what, its very loose.
You shoot and there goes the skeleton flying and then back again.

I love this game. As soon as i got to snowy bridge my FPS went down...down......down. Actually got the low memory error off windows. Didnt stop me playin tho:D Only possible thing that could make me happy after all the cameras sold out in LIDL before 10 this morning. Bastards!!!:(

I need a new GC and more RAM methinks. Im currently 256mb RAM, Dell P4 1.6 GHZ and Geforce 2 mx 400 (64mb) and it sucks ass. His screeny compared to mine is ten times smoother.

Whats fraps? Ive just been using the old fashioned print screen button, which means you can only take one damn screen per game :dunno:

fraps = teh screenshot taking secks:)
every time you press the assigned key, it saves a screenshot into the fraps folder without interupting your game.

Havent got that far ,changed resolution from 1024 to 800 is the game meant to be that bloody fast?

on 1024 it was slow but on 800 the bad guys run like linford.

hmm i thought i hadnt got past him but when i went back in, hadnt played painkiller in ages, i in fact did get past him, how i dunno but there you go

Is anybody else having stuttering sound problems since patching up to 1.15
