Lacklustre 3rd strikers

It seems to be a recurring theme when I play CM03/04 that I have 2 strikers who are great - good ratings, lots of goals, motms etc, while all my other strikers are crap (established quality players - Cavenaghi, Kezman etc, as well as hot prospects). I can't recall a time i've signed a new striker/brought one through the ranks when i've had 2 good ones already who has done well.

Even when 1 (or both) of my quality strikers are injured (which they have been, for long periods), the other strikers fail to up the standard even after an extended spell in the first team.

This ever happened to anyone else?

It's probably down to poor fitness and/or poor morale from not being a regular first teamer. It's vital to give your 3rd striker a start every so often, especially in games against weaker opposition. It helps keep both his finess and morale at an acceptable level.
