    Folks,
Has anyone come accross this one before .
I ordered a charger from these guys with a VIsa card ....
    http://www.freedom-mobiles.co.uk.
Got a call from the UK next morning from them looking for me to fax them a copy of a utility bill for address confirmation . I'm a bit wary about this .
I frequantly buy online but have never come accross this one before .
    Any ideas ??????

    AFAIK its ok,
the majority of places dont need it, coz they can check cards no matter where in the world u are, but some small companies cant afford the service so they ask for a utility bill.

Its a bit unusual. We sometimes send stuff by mail order. When we ring the credit card company with the card details and the address they confirm it to be correct. We have to supply them with the address for verification so I dont see why they need second proof.

This used to be the way online companies would deal with credit cards years ago, haven't seen it in a while though...
