A friend was telling me about a story a scottish comedian told a few years back that went something like this:

It was christmas time in Glasgow and in one of the main cathedrals they had a big crib scene that they added characters to each day building up to the big unveiling on christmas eve. When the night came and the scene was unveiled everyone was aghast because Baby Jesus was missing. Then my buddy turns to me and says:
"Thats the trouble with Glasgow these days. People will steal anything thats not nailed down".

Thought this was funny myself but it might just have been the way it was told
