Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've only been watching football since 1980ish so can't really comment on players prior to that.

The best European I've seen is Michel Platini. Not even mentioned by anyone else, so maybe I'm on my own with my opinion!

I'd certainly rate Platini higher than Zidane. Platini hadnt the tricks or flair that Zidane has, but how often do those tricks add to the scoresheet? Platini never had the anonymous games that Zidane sometimes has. Plus Platini was a better goalscorer than ZZ, and just as good a passer. Platini could grab a game by the scruff of the neck, dominate everybody on the pitch and win a game on his own.

And Tigana was a great player too, but never scored.

    1 - Keane
In his prime a class apart.
    2 - Zidane
    Has won everything. Sublime skills.
    3 - Henry
I know he hasn't won anything major outside UK but he's still young and his form in recent seasons has been electrifying.
    4 - Maldini
At the top for so many years and can still cut the mustard at the highest level.
    5 - Bobby Charlton

Tempted to vote for Best but I think he never fulfilled his full potential.
