    The "Data Becker" phone packs at about 45 Euro often include a phone specific RS232 cable. The software lets you:

    Edite / create/ upload /download:

    * graphics / logos

    * Tones

    * Number / Address book contacts

    * text messages

    * Send / receive SMS using PC in real time

    If no cable is included for a model, it means they expect the PC IR port to work :D

    A cable on its own with NO Software, is typically £10 plus postage from any of the specialist GSM phone part suppliers who also sell replacement LCDs, torx "screwdrivers", replacement batteries etc etc.

    The cable in the "Data Becker" pack also worked fine with the free download Nokia SDK for my phone. (serious programming expertise required).
