Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anybody tell me of their experience of staying in the above hotel?

I'm on the verge of booking a holiday to Vegas staying in this hotel but a friend of a friend of a friend has told me that it is best avoided. I'm sceptical of this advice as the hotel looks pretty fab from it's website.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

no idea about that one, I stayed in the aladdin and the luxor when I was there. The aladdin was nice. The rooms in the pyramid in the luxor are very old fashioned, the rooms in the tower in the luxor are suppsoed to be way nicer. If you stay in the pyramid you get to use the inclinator!!!!!

I stayed there about 2 years ago, found it a very nice moderm hotel and if you ask you can get a good view of the strip. They have a full size circus on one of the floors (3rd I think) which is great fun. And its also not too expensive.

The one thing thats a bit of a draw back is that its located near the end of the strip, bit of a walk (20mins) up to the bigger hotels with the exterior shows i.e. Bellagio or New York, New York (has its own roller coaster going around the outside of the hotel - very cool). But there is lots to see on the walk - and you can taxi it back down after.

Hotels in Vegas are all about what you want out of it...take a look at this site http://www.vegasresorts.com/ for prices, information, locations etc

Either way you'll have a great time :)

Looking at this normally trustworthy site it's a good bet.

I never stayed there but last time I took a stroll down to check it out (is is as already stated a little bit away from the bigger hotels but we're talking minutes here).

The last review " Long considered tacky and a casino you only stay at if you're bringing kids, Circus Circus has sought to change..." seems to refelect what you had heard from the friend of the friend.

I'm going to Las Vegas later in the year and I asked a mate who'd been there a couple of times about hotels. He said he'd stayed in Circus Circus a few years back and it was pretty good, but his parents were there last year and said it had gone really downhill and that a lot of the circus acts had gone. We haven't decided where we're staying yet, although Excalibur and the Barbary Copast seem pretty good value.

There's loads of stuff about Vegas on this site www.holiday-truth.com

I stayed there 3 years ago, and was very happy there, there was a fun park there and Circus plus lots of casinos. When booking try to stay in the main part of the Hotel or else you will end up walking a bit every day. Older then a lot of the hotels on the strip but I remember it was very good value at only €39 a room per night.

Choice of restatuants all you can eat buffets for only $10 it is a bit far down on the strip but not a whole lot and Its good to walk down the strip.

Although happy with the hotel I'd go for one of the more modern hotels next time, Venitian (Can't spell it correctly), Paris Paris, New York, New York.

    Any other questions just post

Dont stay there, its on the wrong side of the strip and tbh isnt the best place. For roughly the same price i would stay at Excalibur. Much better location and has far better ammenaties. Circus Circus has a Trailor park(not lieing) so that should tell you enough about it.

As a side note, NEVER book hotels through a travel agent for Las Vegas. 2 reasons

    (1) Direct to the hotel is ALOT cheaper

    (2) If you gamble, you can get discounts on your hotel bill when u check out, if you have signed up to their players card.

After that, enjoy, best city in the world :)

Its not a nackers camp!!!! its a park where people with camper vans or touring buses park and has its own separate swiming pool
