Today, we get 10 new countries(i.e. member staes) in the EU(European Union). It would be great if boards.ie celebrated that with the opening of the EU as a main fourm, with a drop down fourm for each country in the new EU! That would be:
    Austria
    Belguim
    Cyprus
    Czech Replublic
    Denmark
    Estonia
    Germany
    Greece
    Finland
    France
    Hungary
    Ireland
    Italy
    Latvia
    Lithuania
    Luxembourg
    Malta
    Poland
    Pourtugal
    Slovakia
    Slovenia
    Spain
    Sweeden
    The Netherlands
    United Kingdom

On each forum, we copuld talk about the country's coulture, langauge, current affairs and maybe some tips if your visiting that country e.g. Sightings, vaccinations you need etc.

I think that this fourm should definitely go ahead as we're all one big community that just got a whole lot bigger!

Nice idea, but it's not going to happen.

Ah how happy clappy! ;) It won't happen as it would entail too many new boards which lets face it would be largely moribund after a week or two.

It does seem a bit of overkill!

Without all the countries, just one dedicated to all 25 EU states?

    To talk about what, exactly?

Just general EU current affairs and maybe the referendums on EU decisions, the culture of other member staes and the travelling to Europe!

Not sure if it'll get any traffic, but I reckon that if there were discussion about the Union, most of it would be politically related. So it would seem best as a child forum of Politics. But again, I'm not sure there's enough traffic to warrant it. IMHO.

It'd just be another underused board taking traffic away from other boards

Anyone who asks to be mod usually doesn't get to be.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,543 ✭✭✭sionnach

ah but you see victor he/she never directly asked to be mod, he/she only enquired as to whether or not he/she would be made mod. Will i be made mod, not CAN i be made mod. He/She is obviously exceedingly cunning :D

As cunning as a fox what used to be professer of cunning at Oxford University, and is now retired and works for the UN in the department of cunning plans?
