    I am wondering is anyone else having problems with the windows update website. Since last night I have been trying to get updates for Windows XP for my machine.

    I have gone through the process of selecting the updates I require and click review and install link on the page.

    this takes me to a list of my selected updates above which is a button marked "install"

    When I click this button nothing happens. The system just hangs there. It does not crash, it is like it is waiting for something to happen.

    I am hoping that it is because for some reason the microsoft website is extremely busy

    Any replies would be welcome

    nope im sound dl updates last night wit no problems, try to use the links on windows xp

    thanks for the info i will try that

    am also doing a virus scan in case i might have picked up some worm off the internet .

    Worked fine for me 2 minutes ago, both loading the page and downloading updates.

    What version of Windows are you using?

    Did you try http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com ?

    If you're running Windows NT/9x try http://v3.windowsupdate.microsoft.com

    I found the link in winxp and downloaded the links successfully

    IT IS UNSUPPORTED & UPDATES OBTAINED HERE ARE NOT TESTED FULLY.

    Do not use this site.

    Let your OS determine the correct site by going to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.

    I'm having problems with it, since last night too. If you clear you caches you get an error but it still doesn't run.

    Whats the story with
    http://test.v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com

    Can I run that then switch back to the normal one later?

    Well I tried it and I get an error on that one aswell. Grrrr
