G1 on O'Connell street is ur best bet, some great boards there, or failing that, try skate city in temple bar.

Dublin's ok to skate, you'd be better off makin a weekend out of it and checkin out shops, bars etc. as well as just skatin. Most of the good spots have been skate-stopped but I'm sure a few of the baggot street spots are good, the steps in temple bar (watch out for goths) and Ramp n' rail skatepark.

also, while at temple bar, lookout for the "can i see the time on yore pho-en" or " Can i ring me Ma cuz i got no credit" geezers.

g1 lower oconnel st above the pharmacy or
    skatecity crown alley temple bar

they would be your best shot, you can pick up a beginner board for about 40 to 50 euro and a semi pro board will start about 100
