webcam chat via msn messenger problem

A number of weeks back I upgraded from 98 to XP, and since that time I've not been able to get the webcam function of my chat programs to work. I keep getting an error message that I'm behind a firewall, so it won't work (even when the firewall is turned off ... neat trick). I'm using the same programs (chat and firewall)…

I'm using the same programs (chat and firewall) that I used when they worked under 98, but under XP its a no go.

I have XPs own firewall turned off, and have opened the ports that Yahoos help suggests (using ZoneAlarm as my firewall). and still can't get anywhere.

Any suggestions as to what else I could try?
