I fancy lightening Paddy Power's wallet next series of games.

Any assitance from all you well informed afficionados would be gratefully
received. Just tell me who will win the next set of matches and I'll pop a small finders fee off to the VDP in appreciation.

You can post the answers here.

    go raibh maith agat.

    Pal

Tipp play Limerick in football next weekend. Put all your money on Tipp. It's a sure bet.

Mine was meant to be a dud but PORNAPSTER was probably serious! The games this weekend are all quite close ones so there's no real obvious results.

    hmmmmmmm

not sure you're all playing ball (pun) at all at all

    :(

Think of the poor kids in Angela's Ashes eating the sheep's eye.

I am a man of means.
    Paddy Power will suffer.
    We're talking serious shekels here.
    It has to go round.
Disadvantaged Limerick children will reap the rewards of my venture.

    Now.

    let's start again.

A small accumulator would be nice to get the ball (pun) rolling.

I honestly can't see Down beating us if we put in a good performance. Hopefully the team will be wound up and ready to go for Sunday.

    Ok

    Leg 1

    Cavan to win.

Now I really want to make some decent moolah, so
help me out with a reinvestment bet.

Some good mucker team likely to shine on a muddy pitch (not an oxymoron) that the bookie won't have sussed would be right on the money.

I heard that Dermot McCabe and Peter Reilly are out of this weekend's match. They are two of, if not the two best players Cavan have. This probably swings the pendulum in Down's favour. Though I still find it hard to call.

Very hard to be definitive about many of the matches this weekend. Betting on draws might be the best:

    Clare v Wd 8/1
    Down v Cavan 15/2
    Louth v Wexford 8/1

(note re Wexford. Star forward Mattie Forde is rated very doubtful and their second best forward Scott Doran has emigrated. That would bring them right back down to Louth's level).

If you bet 3 singles, 3 doubles and 1 triple that'd probably be a decent wager.

If you do €1 per bet, that'd be a €7 outlay.

One draw would return (min) €8.50 (21% profit)
Two draws would return (min) €94.00
    3 draws would return €949

Well you got one draw Rooster. Fair play.

Yeah, and I was close with the Wexford - Louth game.
Okay, 8 points isnt really close, but I thought Mattie Forde was injured and how may points did he score? - EIGHT

Would never have predicted Waterford's demolition of Clare though!
