Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Spurs offload veterans
Tottenham release Darren Anderton, Christian Ziege and Gus Poyet but agree a new deal with Jamie Redknapp.

    Birmingham to get Gronkjaer
Birmingham are poised to sign Chelsea's Jesper Gronkjaer in a £1.2m deal.

    ---

Good move by Spurs, they really need to get rid of the chaff and bring in some new faces in midfield and defence. Not so sure about Gronkjaer for Birmingham though, rumours of Heskey going there for £4m too, I'm not sure either of them would improve Birmingham any.

// edit - Bentley to Norwich on a season long loan seems very likely now, good move for both parties imo.

True. Some prem football is perfect for him now.

Regarding the depatures.... Why did they let Ziege go? He's not that old and he is'nt half bad.

You'd think they'd get rid of some of their strikers.

Better wait until the new manager takes control first. I'd say Kanoute will go though.

Perhaps in Zeige's case all the injuries are 'karma' for his departure from Middlesbrough.

Anderton is perpetually injured and they have needed to offload him for quite some time.

What Spurs need to do is to bring in a good manager and let him make any more decisions about who stays or goes.
