Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hopefully Newcastle will win and keep the last day of the season a bit interesting.

But they will struggle, as there seems to be a bit of "messing" going on at St. James' at the moment, and Southampton have been no pushovers this season.

Add to that I think it's been 32 years since Newcastle won away to Southampton.

Fewer goals have been scored at St Marys than any other venue this season so heres for a 0-0!

I could do without the tension on Saturday...

Its a shame Villa cant make 4th. They have been a far more entertaining team to watch. Are they guaranteed 6th or 5th?

Can't guaranteed 5th surely, maybe 6th, but 6th gets nothing as far as Europe is concerned.

I don't know, but a few people on here reckon only 5th gets the UEFA, along with the two cup winners.

yeps thats correct, 6th doesn't get Europe.

If Liverpool or Southampton beat newcastle an we beat Utd we get 5th

    Come on the Villa!

No need to worry, this is Newcastle playing away we're talking about. They're going to fall apart any moment now.

Any1 else notice how depressed Shearer looked , I wouldnt be suprised if Robson , Shearer , Viana , Robert all leave the club in the summer . ( i know Shearer meant to have another season . )

    [Rant]

Bobby Robson said it was unfair on Newcastle. IS HE BLIND !?!?!?!? The first goal was a blatant handball, Lundekvam wasnt allowed to be substituted 10 seconds before the second Newcastle goal despite the fact he couldnt even walk! And then, to rub it all in, the ref didnt give the peno for the most blatant push I have ever seen. Both commentators and Lawrie McMenamy in the studio said it was a 10/10 penalty. Worst refereeing performance of the season, no doubt about it.

What a brilliant game. it was a goal fest. I think a draw was a fair result Sanits played brilliantly, makes you wondering how they are in the bottom half of the table.
Shearer was very poor tonight, you could see he was low on confindence after the peno miss over the weekend. the sanits keeper Blanley i think he name was, was Brilliant for his first game of the season and at only 19.
they have drawn to many games Newcastle and that is why they mighten even be in Europe next season.
