    Hi,

    I going to buy a modem for my home pc..(finally getting it connected!)...

    Is it worth paying the extra for v.92 standard..??

    I don't think any ISPs are using v.92 yet.

    iol are due to go V92 soon, a mate was saying that the V92 software is finally starting to look good and stable.
    thing is, how much extra are you paying to future-proof yourself (until you get DSL or ISDN anyway). is it worthwhile /can you afford it NOW?
