    Crespo In Milan Talks

I think that would qualify for the 1% doubt, at a push.

I'd give it till Friday before they land Drogba.

Barca asked Liverpool if they could take Cisse on loan for a year!

    Liverpool, unsurprisingly said no.

Barca are now looking at Baros or Owen - probably the former. Also talk of a possible swap deal with Baros or Owen and Saviola.

Kluivert move to Newcastle 95% certain

Should be interesting, expecially with the rumours that Shearer is unhappy that he is not guaranteed a starting place!

Was told yesterday that Wayne Rooney has said yes to Man Utd. Everton are £68M in debt and are looking for £35M for the player.

An agent claiming to represent Baros contacted Sainz (Real Madrid presidential candidate) and Barcelona trying to setup a deal. The agent wasn't Baros's agent and was looking to make a quick buck.

His success in Euro 2004 went to Baros's head and in a meeting with Benitez he demanded first team football. Benitez told him to lose the attitude or find a new club. Baros put his agent to the task and contacted Barcelona - he told them that Liverpool want €20M but he was confident that he could get them the player for €12M. Barcelona contacted Liverpool and were given three options for the transfer : €20M, €15M plus Saviola (recently got his Spanish nationalisation), or €8M plus Puyol. Too rich for Barcelona - so Baros now says he's happy to stay with Liverpool.

Smoke screen story - they're looking elsewhere for a central defender.

The player that Barcelona are after is also target for Real Madrid.

The Barcelona press machine have leaked Hyypia's name because there's a history there. Two years ago Barcelona spoke with Liverpool and Hyypia about a possible move, Houllier said NO WAY, Hyypia and his agent said he was quite happy at Liverpool and would let them know if the situation changed. Last summer Hyypia's agent got back in touch and said the situation had changed and his client wanted a move, Barcelona didn't have the money at the time so it went no further.

Some other names on the list are Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd), Gabriel Milito (Zaragoza) and Roberto Ayala (Valencia) - all of whom are on Real Madrid's list of possible partners for Walter Samuel. Real's main target is Ricardo Carvalho (Porto) and Barcelona don't want press stories linking them with the same player's Real are looking at resulting in a bidding war for a player.

Good signing he's a decent player if he can keep cool.

Cool, good player and Everton have been crying out for an attacking central midfielder ever since the Sean Davis transfer broke down last year. Just need a right midfielder and a central defender to play along side Yobo and we will have a decent team. Oh and a certain striker to sign a new contract.

One thing about Moyes, he has done miracles in the transfer market since he arrived and without any serious money to work with.

Two more players are on the way out.

Linderoth to FC Copenhagen and Radzinski the bloody mercenary off to Fulham.

Big Rumour from the press in Spain.

Liverpool will sign either Xabi Alsonso or Joaquim, and also one of the stars off one of Spains "top two" teams. They will be paying him £5m a year, so thats about £100,000. Narrows it down a bit.

Ill believe it when I see it.

Trabelsi deal apparently fallen through as they can not negotiate a contract with him. Pretty surprising. Didn't think it would be that hard to negotiate with a 26yr old from Ajax when Arsenal are in looking for you...

Anyway, that is straight from the horses mouth mr Wenger himself on Sky Sports News.

The deal hasn't fallen through yet. It has "hit a snag" acording to Wenger.

Nottingham Forest have rejected a fresh offer from Tottenham for Republic of Ireland star Andy Reid, it was revealed today.

Spurs, who had a £5million bid for Reid turned down in January, have attempted again to secure the 21 year old's services but their new bid of £3million was immediately turned down by The Reds.

The news comes just 24 hours after Reid accused Chairman Nigel Doughty in a Sunday newspaper article of failing to invest in the Forest squad this summer.

Forest's Chief Executive Mark Arthur said: "We rejected Tottenham's offer of £5million for Andy in January, so I don't know what now makes them think we would be willing to do business at £3million.
    _
"I was disappointed to read Andy's comments in the Sunday Mirror. Joe Kinnear has worked hard to strengthen his squad over the summer and is continuing to do so.

"And to accuse Nigel Doughty of a lack of investment is misguided. We were the third highest spenders in terms of transfer fees in the First Division last season and have one of the largest salary budgets outside the Premiership.

"Nigel put £6.5million into the Club last season - £1.5million out of his own pocket to buy Marlon King and Gareth Taylor and £5million to support the running of the Club.

"Nigel is committed to spending a similar amount this season to again support the day-to-day running of the Club."

Man Utd have had a €25M bid for Joaquin rejected this month so it's not bloody likely that Liverpool will be signing him.

Real Madrid are so confident of signing Vieira that they told Real Sociedad they are withdrawing from their agreement to sign Xabi Alonso for €20M next month. Sociedad have offered him to Liverpool for €18M but the club aren't interested in spending that kind of cash on the player. If a deal is done expect the likes of Vignal and Diao to be included in an exchange deal.

MARC OVERMARS hopes to make a surprise return to Arsenal after being forced to retire because of a knee injury, writes ANDREW DILLON.

The Dutch winger, 31, wants to help his old club recruit the next generation of champions as a scout.

Overmars won the Double with the Gunners in 1998 before joining Barcelona for £25million.

He said: “When I left Arsenal, they said I could always come back to work for them as a scout.

“If the offer is still open, I would love to take them up on it.”

Highbury chief Arsene Wenger said: “I am really sad to hear that Marc has been forced to retire.

“He’ll never be forgotten as a result of his contribution to our Double.

Yeah ok its from The Sun, still would be nice!

    EXCLUSIVE
    Fergie in Costa swoop
FERGIE wants Rui Costa — the man who helped end England's Euro bid

    source : The Sun:D :D:D:D:D:D:D .

some day they'll get one right .

    The Full Story :

    EXCLUSIVE
    Fergie in Costa swoop

    By CHARLIE WYETT

ALEX FERGUSON wants Rui Costa — the man who helped end England’s Euro dream.

Manchester United boss Fergie is offering to take the Portugal midfielder on loan from AC Milan and pick up his £55,000-a-week salary.

Costa, who scored a 20-yard wonder goal against England, is considering the offer after both clubs agreed terms.

Officially, Milan are adamant they do not want Costa, 32, to leave. Last week they turned down an approach from his former club Benfica.

But Milan are secretly keen to offload Costa from their wage bill as Brazilian star Kaka has moved ahead in the pecking order.

Fiorentina — another former club — have also shown an interest but United’s greater financial muscle puts them in front.

Costa retired from international football at the end of Euro 2004 to concentrate on his club and spend more time with wife Rute.

He is on holiday in the Algarve — but his move to United could go through in the next few days.

Fergie wants to add creativity and experience to his midfield and is keen on a player with no commitments to his national team.

Old Trafford No 2 and ex-Portugal boss Carlos Queiroz is a big fan of Costa and handed him his international debut in 1993.

Costa, who scored against England at Euro 2004, is a brilliant passer with excellent close control.

He can also run with the ball and Fergie believes he can do plenty of damage in the Premiership.

Just when I thought Willo Flood might break into the first team. It seems, if your Irish you have to be over 20 to break into the first team yet if your Brazilian your thrown into the deap end.

It just got a vibe from the Kinnear interview , that most of the things are sorted out .

he joked that he wanted £3,000,000 plus Ledley King , at least I think he was joking :o .
