Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mp3 ripper cleaner upper?

    Need one fo these badly ,has to able to clean up music from a Line in source.
    Pyro 2004 seems to do it but i like free.
    Goldwave also seems to do it but gives me a crap DLL error.

    Anyone know somfin ,the tapes i ripping sound like crap when using normal mp3 rippers.

    "Obtain" copies of Sound Forge and/or Steinberg Clean.
    The latter being for the purpose you wish the former merely because it rocks.

    Sound Forge is one of the programs I miss since I started using Linux.

    Getting sound forge ,as you can see by file i sent you ,the music is pure class but the hiss and fuzz is cack.

    Noise reduction in cool edit pro (now adobre audition) would be more than capable of doing that. It also has features that would allow you bring up the sound which you will need if using tape as the source.

    It would be quite time comsuming though.

    Goldwave doing the job nicely.

    Tapes sound rather good now all i need is some webspace hint hint
