Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The LA Sheriff wants to install Mobile Phone jammers in key LA locations to protect against them being used to trigger explosions...

The video report (links below) begins with the Madrid attacks which used mobile phones to trigger the explosions, although from my reading of news reports i thought the alarm feature was used to trigger the detonator rather than a call being made... anyhow it continues saying that an assassination attempt against the Pakistani president was avoided by using mobile phone jamming devices as his convoy passed a location

The most interesting part of the report mentions how the US secret service use jammers to protect the president... with the upcoming visit of "himself" i wonder if they have asked ComReg permission first...

Sounds like someone in the Sheriffs department watched SWAT recently. :)

I didnt think the Americans ask anyone permission for anything when it comes to doing what they like around the president...

I take it such things are ilegal here? I remember reading a discussion about putting them in cinemas in the UK but they couldn't as it wasn't legal.

I noticed a couple of years back you couldn't use a mobile insome cinema's but you can these days. So there must be truth to the rumour.
