BaZmO* a number of your sujestions are pretty good but
Dancing In The Moonlight – Toploader
is one of the worse most overplayed songs of the past decade.

Half the songs I listed are overplayed, but the title of the thread was "Good Party Songs" not "Good Party Songs that people Never Hear " :D

If you have mixing cd players (e.g. Pioneers etc), some good tracks that mix very well, and keep the crowd going for about 10-15 minutes on end are:

*Robbie Williams (Rock DJ) + BeeGees (Stayin' Alive)

*Donna Summer (Hot Stuff) + Tom Jones (Sex Bomb) + Kylie Minogue (Can't Get You Out Of My Head) + MadHouse (Like A Prayer)

*Billy Joel (Uptown Girl) + The Proclaimers (500 Miles)

*Kenny Loggins (Footloose) + A-Ha (Take On Me)

*Justin Timberlake (Rock Ya Body) + Beyoncé (Crazy In Love) + Libert X (Little Bit More)

I find if you experiment and pick and mix with similar mixes as above, you won't be so oridanry compared to other dj's. Of course, this is with weddings/birthdays etc in mind.
I know at these kinds of events, people will be pretty drunk, and will dance to anything. But presentation is important, especially if you may get another gig or 3 from some people at that party. Its not just pressing buttons!

    Seanie.

    G n' R - Sweet child of mine

    Songs to jump around to:

Some Basement Jaxx - Romeo, Where's your head at?, etc...

Yeah definitely :) That's a blast from the past. Must get that album on mp3. It's probably gathering dust somewhere in my collection of cassettes.
