Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

VirtualDub could be used for video editing but I guess its for minor editing. It actually depends to what extend do you intend to edit.

I think Avid do a free / limited version of DV Express or something like that - have a look at www.avid.com

It might be a sizeable download though...

It is a big download, but it's well worth it. You can have a acitvation code emailed to you, and get someone you know with broadband to download it. It's an excellent piece of software, simple to learn too. It's limited (still very powerful), but that sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

If you use XP you should take advantage of their "movie maker" software, I find it excellent for simple editing.
Download the upgrade to movie maker 2.

They seem to be for XP. Are there any freeware programs for 2000 ?

    Hello there.

If you want next best to free (very cheap and legit) visit www.softwareoutlet.com I recently purchased Cyberlink Power Director 3 (It worked out at €125 on the OEM site) - got it delivered in three weeks for €25.

Terrific software. You can edit, title, and author to disc (chapters/thumnails, etc).:D

I use TMPGEnc 3.0 xpress for all video editing big and small. It's the best editing program I have come accross.
