Right, very noobish request here, i have a 2000 corsa, after getting very shabby looking over the winter.

i have a few stone chips and its just very dull in general.

so basicaly looking for detailed advice on either the best way to sort it out, a site to tell me, or some one in the carlow area you might recommend.

    Go here : http://www.autoglym.com/frame2.html

and select 'car care guide' from the drop down in the top right. There are some tips here you might find useful.
I would recommend Autoglym products very highly. Sure, they are more expensive than others, but when you use them, you'll see why. Try the Autoglym 'Super Resin Polish'. I use this all the time. It removes surface oxidation (that dull look on the body work) and buffs to a great shine.

Another option would be T-Cut. I use this also. You can buy it in a colour that best matches your car and can also help to cover hair-line scratches.

As for places that stock this stuff, you'd probably be best to go to your local motor factors (like Consort, if you live in Dublin) as big motor stores (like the one in Blanchardstown centre are always more expensive.

    Hope this helps,

    DC.
